One problem with other crops is usually a much smaller market. Say a bunch a of farms cut back corn or soy acres. That get put into smaller crops like edible dry beans, peas, barley, hay, oats, etc, etc. Does not take too many "new" acres to flood those markets with extra bushels. If you can find a couple of good small market crops and keep the neighbor farms from putting some in, well then.......................................
