The specific quote after every visit is 'don't come back for at least three days.' He always says try to give your body a chance to heal on its own. If you drink some water, get some rest, and eat half-decent food, you've got a good chance.
Usually works out that way. Sorry to hear there are practitioners out there who take a different approach.
