southwest illinois | What gets me is how much wheat cost per acre has gotten out of hand, I'll generally average 70 bpa. in a low cost system, but guys will average 90-100 bpa but it takes all of the 30 bpa increase to pay for it
Part of what your seeing is some guys can't farm without input financing therefore they have to pay whatever supplier tells them.
Some are chasing APH's at any cost..........but insured a loss in 2015-2016
2017 looks to continue with lower fertilizer prices and reasonable cost fuel
Maybe they didn't tell you they bought new machinery on 3-7 yr financing BUT sec. 179 entire purchase in previous years........that would make COP bloated pretty easy | |
