Lots and lots of lead! Birds won't take you seriously unless you're killing or wounding them. Need to be diligent in harassing them. Make them go to another source of food. I blaze trails through our flowers and then hire part time shooters. We have a morning crew and a late afternoon/evening crew. They ride four wheelers and shoot birds in our fields and maintain propane canons. Must be done every day. Usually like to shoot only ( no cannons) for the first week to 10 days to get them fearfull of the noise. Then after that they do fairly well. Put timers on canons to automatically turn on sunrise and off at sunset. Usually don't harass them unless they are in the field or really close by.
