| We are having plans drawn also. Things I think I will like, besides what Everyone else has said--- We are going to put in a vault room in the basement. Already pouring 2 of the walls so it shouldn't add huge amounts of cost. Also, we are putting a staircase from the garage directly into the basement. Put heat mat under the hardwood or tile especially in bathroom. Everyone says that is the most wonderful thing. I also would wire in a transfer switch, even if you aren't installing a generator now, someday you may. Best of luck to you. | |
