SC KS | Our area is classified as all coarse soils unless in creek bottoms. Bottoms have alkalie in places. Looking for something maybe after wheat harvest (June 20th-July 10th). Want to fallow to corn, milo, or Sudan production the following year. Moisture or heat tends to be our limiting factors at just the wrong time. what clover can mash up to these environment conditions? Would frost seeding be better to help insure good stands? Should i up p and k ferttility for a few years to offset residue tie up? Will organic n be available without "plowing down" for sequential summer grass crop? Will n be extremely variable in our tougher years? Weed supression is added bonus. Very flexible on additional n applications. Any additions are welcome. Oh also we flood out 20% of farm each year will that hurt uniformity of n? Tired of $400/ton nh3 and 2.50 corn.
