Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | Tried again this morning. The map shows the general location but puts the phone in one of our fields when it was in the kitchen. I've tried this several times and it always puts me there when the phone is beside me in the house. The location shown on the map is about a mile from the correct location. I have not been at the location shown for some time. This was supposedly 1 minute prior. This would be useful in telling me if the phone was around my place or at some business in town but certainly not very close. Are there some settings that may need to be changed on the iPhone?
The play sound option does work fine and could be helpful if you didn't have a way to call your own number from another phone. For example, I could use the Find my iPhone option within iCloud on my Win 10 computer to get the phone to make a sound to find where I left the phone in the house.
I also got an email stating that Find my iPhone had been used to try to locate my phone. All in all the app is pretty slick, I just wish the location was more precise.
