central PA | Grandma made great baked beans. As a boy I can remember the mix was 2 types of beans, soaked a long time in water before cooking. The end product was a thick food with the 2 types of beans. I am guessing she used brown sugar to make it sweet and after it came out of the oven, the top was like caramelized. Any suggestions for a pot of baked beans. I am ready to try some recommendations. |
