SC Kansas | I've got a couple of questions for any expert blackberry growers. I've got a small thornless patch I transplanted several years ago. I'd like to hear how to prune them and train them better than what I've been doing, which is cutting off the fruit bearing canes ground level and the non bearing to about 12" in the very early spring. Should I not cut those back so far? During the growing season, can/should I cut these back at all? The non bearing canes seem to just take over. Thanks | |
