| Per a previous post on doorknobs I followed thru and bought 6 door knobs on epay. Needless to say they are great but the brass portion tarnished past badly. I bought some 'Brasso' and it does work wonders. Some places it still appears like a varnish type stain. ONE knob the brass plating is 60% all gone,,,so that one,,,if I end up using it will be inside the closet. So the dark spots after polishing the start of wear thru of the brass plating or further polish required.
I used steel wool on 'stainless' before ,,can I expect the same or adverse response on brass? AND is Brasso the best brass cleaner? | |
