Montana | I appreciate this but I am wondering why yardage is by the pound. It seems to me that yardage is for the set costs of the feed yard. I have always seen yardage set at so much per head per day.
I know when we partnered with Norm, he had his costs and they were very close to what he projected as he had his feed purchased. I have a friend who has a heifer development center and if an animal gets sick, he will pull it and treat it but we can go get it. I am big on isolating sick animals and just keeping them away from others. Maybe now with Draxin and NuFlour, the cattle go back in with their own bunch and are better, I guess that is up to the feeder. | |
