North of London | You can't beat trees but that will not help in the short term.
I would think any type of tarp or covering in a corner over the top would work but you have to keep it high enough the dog can not start playing with it.
Our best dog run has a windbreak in it with cedar and spruce trees and the dogs love those so if you are looking to the future then a couple new trees would be a good bet BUT from experience you need to protect them from the dog(s) until they are big enough or they will pull them out or chew them and girdle them and kill them.
