niobrara nebraska | So we are limit up today.......Reasons???? This thing is just hard too understand. We have a couple hundred 700-800ilbs in the yard on feed. Getting about time to move them as we usually sell them in the 8-900ilb range. With corn headed lower anyone think it would be worth feeding them an extra 45 days longer to get closer to 1000ilbs. Not really in the mood to finish as it seems, that has been getting done for free or a loss for the last 18 months. By that I mean most anyone that has bought our calves weighing 800ilbs hasn't had much of a chance for profit. Home raised calves and home raised corn/hay/silage. Only thing coming from outside is the modified distillars @82 a ton delivered. Guaranteed below 50% moisture. Can't do anything about the price as we contract so much a month a year in advance. Just curious if anyone thinks this thing might finally gets its floor and have a 20% retracement or dead cat bounce. | |
