How hot you talking about? In 2011-12 when it was 105-115 day after day irrigated corn yields 'here' were the worst in recent memory. That's the first time I ever saw irrigated corn disastered out due to drought.


I saw corn that year standing in wet, wet ground with leaves firing. I think the evapo-transpiration rate was so high the plants simply could not draw the water up from the ground fast enough.
