| As of midnight, Des Moines, IA has accumulated 165 stress degree days since June 1, 2016. According to ISU climatologist Elwynn Taylor (http://crops.extension.iastate.edu/cropnews/2012/07/water-stress-corn-estimating-stress-degree-days-sdd) trend line yields are difficult to come by in years with stress degree accumulation over 140. Food for thought as we move into late July and early August.
