Subject: Union Pacific Engineer

East central Iowa, Camanche, Iowa
Talk to a Union Pacific Engineer about the reduction of coal trains coming from out west. He blames the Obama administration's increasing regulations but I think it is more economics. The cheap and abundant supply of nat gas has prompted the electric companies to retrofit their boilers over to nat gas.

On the same note, Trump pledged to revitalize the coal industry but with an abundance of nat gas and the conversions to nat gas I do not see coal making a comeback anytime soon.

What say you?
