Totally agree about the cheap pencils. They do not sharpen well.. Often broken lead. Constantly sharpening... Try that with 20some 1st-2nd graders. Plus even with the supply list (most teachers go with the bare minimum as they are/were parents, too) teachers spend a lot out of pocket for supplies. Everyone should spend a few days in a classroom. I think there would be more understanding of what is requested and why.
