Subject: RE: Buying MX255 with Paradyme setup removed

NW IL
The Ag Leader valve that is installed on your MX255 will work with ParaDyme, GeoSteer as well as the new SteerCommand/6500. All three will work with the Integra, Versa, and InCommand displays. The ParaDyme steering systems used either a SAM module (gray box) or an ECU4 (black box). The SAM really can only be used with the ParaDyme. The ECU4 can be used with either ParaDyme or Ontrac2+ systems.

If you decide to switch to GeoSteer or SteerCommand/6500 you can reuse the valve as well as wheel angle sensor. If you have ECU4 you "might" be able to reuse some of the cabling.

As far as the "best" system is concerned each of the above listed have their pluses and minuses. Used will obviously be cheaper. For a rough idea on used costs search agtalk classifieds. If you go with 6500/SteerCommand you will most likely have to go new as there are not many used systems on the market yet.
