NE Nebraska | Original poster here. Thanks for the input guys. I'll have to adjust my "purge policy". I'm just glad this is a very minor mess up compared to other things that can happen. After multiple loads of Roundup I would have thought everything was totally cleaned out. Also, when I know the sprayer will sit for a few days, I make sure to flush with water before leaving the field. In sixteen years of spraying I have had no issue until now. I will be more careful now that my luck has ran out. - No end caps on the boom, by the way, not a wet boom - rubber hoses all terminate at a nozzle body. I'm sure there are plenty of other nooks and crannies for stuff to collect in, and I sprayed plenty of Atrazine and 24D along with all the other stuff in the pre and post corn season. -always run a cleanout product and at least triple rinse when switching crops.
