Subject: RE: South and Central TX Sorghum growers

South Texas
I got away with not spraying them, didn't spray any other bugs either. Seems maybe if I put up with a little more stinkbug pressure, plant medium maturity, and don't kill the beneficials they're kept in check. The midge took out the late sucker heads, and I saw one headworm the whole year which is odd. Found aphids every time I checked but never enough to worry about, expected the population to grow but it didn't. Cut two truckloads yesterday and saw minimal evidence of aphids.

Beneficials I'm finding in my fields include lady bugs, lace wings, and syrphid fly.
