west michigan | I am looking at getting a Tarter cattlemaster series 6 automatic headgate. This will be used for breeding/treating mature dairy cows. I already have a chute, just looking for a new headgate to weld/bolt to the steel posts set in concrete. Does anyone have any experience with these? I'm not familiar with the brand or the headgates and wondering if it will hold up or if I'll end up replacing it within a couple years. It will get daily use, but only 1-5 cows per day on average.
