Steercommand being limited to use with a 6500 is a choice that AgLeader made and implemented in the firmware. They could easily make it compatible with standard NMEA as the Ontrac system is. I sometimes wonder how much business they lose because of these "fences" they put up.

There is a chance this has something to do with the agreement Ag Leader has with Novatel.
It is disappointing though since I have a GPS 2500 we could use with Steercommand if it was allowed.
I would imagine the sales for Steercommand would increase if they allowed any GPS receiver that meets some minimum requirements.
BTW. Steercommand uses the same controller as the OnTrac3.
