just south of Indianapolis | After a cool wet spring made tougher by cover crops keeping the soil from drying out I'm wanting to try cover crops that will winter kill, or possibly winter kill covers mixed with covers that will over winter but lack a dense root system. What are my options for interseseding into soybeans???
What are Spring soil conditions like after oat/radish covers?
What are soil conditions like after rape and or clover terminated in the Spring? Do they keep the soil tacky like a terminated cereal or annual rye will?
