Didn't want to hijack the weigh in thread but do you have any tips that your Dad used on starting roses from existing plants? Got an old rose bush here that we figure is probably close to 100 yrs old. I thought I killed it this spring when spraying the yard as it got sick had burned leaves and looked very brown. I pruned it back hard and gave it some fertilizer and it's came back like gangbusters. and put on lots of flowers. Has such vibrant flowers that quickly fade but I would like to take cuttings to get another start of it but have had limited luck so far in getting anything to take off and root on it's own.
