MOA scope mounts are designed for long range rifles(read 1000 yds) and they put the scope in a "pitch down " position to allow for the adjustment in the scope knob to have enough travel to zero the scope. Without these mounts, you will run out of vertical adjustment to zero the crosshairs at long range.
I have a 20 MOA on my 300 Win Mag rifle.
