Black Hawk County, IA | No expert, but yes I believe there is a displacement limit. I think most of the cars are powered by either Chevrolet or Honda engines. As far as the burst of speed at the end, speed takes fuel, and they are allotted only so much fuel for the race. The driver can adjust his fuel rate but still has to finish on his allotment. The crew has constant connection with all this info and advises the driver what the situation is. J | |
