Subject: RE: planting going fast now

Near-north Ontario, French River
We've been running 2 planters for years. Now before you say anything, both those planters are old Kinze's a 3500 bean planter and a 2600 corn planter, both pruchased used over 6 years ago. We have significantly less $$$ tied up in those older planters than most guys have in a single new planter. We are waiting on one field to get burn down( greenhouses and vineyards surround it ) , and we will be done. Covered everything in 7 days so far. We no-tilled most of our corn this year, and as well as beans. Two guys can cover A LOT of ground with 2 planters (just a 12 row corn, and 10/20 bean planter so not HUGE planters) if they are no-tilling. If it wasn't for all the odd shaped ,small, fields we could cover 300 acres a day. As it is, 150-200 ac make for an easy day.
