I have two opened bags of seed corn left over from planting this year. Seed is expensive. Just wondering how long it will last if stored off the ground in my barn?

Seed is like wine, each year is different. Like buck says, keep in a cool dry place. Rule of 100. Temp plus humidity equals 100 or less is best.

If you want to be sure next year send a sample to SGS or SoDak Labs in Brrokings SD for a warm & saturated cold test. You will know then. Tim Gutwurmson (sp?) started Midwest labs which sold to SGS, now he has started SoDak. SGS is the world leader as a company. Tim is probably the most knowledgeable person in the industry on seed quality there is.
