n.c.iowa | ya plowboy it was kinda nice to wake and think," what am I going to do today"?.."well, I think I will plant". and sure enough, bright sunny cloudless days, followed by dry moonlight nights. ahhh, life is good.
not rubbing it in, and not being smug, just was kinda nice not to have to keep one eye on the monitor, and the other on the radar map, wondering if i could make another round before I got dumped on,. or it really gets old planning bonsai runs across a 80 acre field trying to get beans planted in the middle of june. or trying to splice in corn in the middle of night in the middle of june in a 200 acre field because 40% of the stuff planted in the 3rd week in may decided not to come up.
the point of my post is that we had near perfect planting conditions, and it encompasses a large area.
but like my grandma used to say, "good beginnings sometimes lead to bad endings". a lot of season left, so we will see. |
