well if you are in conventional till how about using that money to replace the worn out primary spring tillage tool. used to be a lot of studies around that showed the roi of that, or maybe buying your own or a better sprayer, been a lot of discussion on here about that, or maybe spraying vt fungicide, always has covered at the very minmum the cost of app, +3 out of five years it's returned a average of 22% for us.    take that money and buy better seed, do improvements to the land( tile, fertility, etc..)   again many irrefutable studies done that show great roi for these practices. 


several different and varying ways to take that amount of money and invest it into the crop to generate roi's far greater than some of this almost borders on gimmicky stuff. that the only real studies done to prove any kind of return were done by the guys selling the stuff.

but if a guy was running a older worn out machine, I agree, hey lets get into the new millennia,  if your gonna spend the money on fixing it up anyway. heck ya get 'er done.   but to take a practically new planter and replace all of the practically new parts, with somebody elses new parts, doesn't make any sense to me.
