michigan | It's a wonder everyone of is aren't broke when you look back at how we planted for the last 60 years without all this fancy stuff. We're pretty old fashion on our 16 row 1200 we are still running the standard case factory equipment on it. Only have one monitor a pro 700 don't have 10 different screens across the whole right window. Maybe that's why we haven't had all these big 260 bushel farm averages on 2000 acres how did my dad manage to survive 60 years without all this. Don't get me wrong I'm not against technology but there comes a point where when does it show a return. How many more bushel per acre is a guy going to pick up when he says my old planter was only 98.5 singulation and now I spent 1,500 bucks per row and now my singulation is 99 to 100 percent. How many years would it take to get your money back at only 1500 or 2000 acres of corn per year just asking I don't know how to figure that out. Have a good day guys be safe out there | |
