| I worked for a guy a long time ago that lost some 6 weight cattle to lightning. He was on vacation at the time so I waited for his check in call. As it turned out his insurance would pay if a vet said they were struck by lightning. Vet had to do an autopsy.
Well about a week of 100 degree days had passed by the time I got this figured out. I called the vet and he said no way would he to it. The smell would be terrible. Probably the truth was at that point he couldn't tell any way. He finally told me if I would do the cutting he would sign off on it. I don't think he thought I would do it! Since this was the only way I could make my employer whole I did it. It was sure a good thing I could stay out on the farm by myself for a few days! I had to wear the smell off, but my boss got his check. | |
