Western Iowa | That just blows my mind that people give so much for dairy bottle calves.
I bought 5 bottle calves for the kids on Saturday at Denison, which is the capital of high bottle calf prices due to the sale day on Saturday that lets lots of hobby and weekend guys buy something for the acreage.
I gave $350 for several grade 'A' 110 lb black calves. Just don't get better. Gave $400 for one white face that the wife really loved and $175 for a 75 lb that looked a little punky, not too bad, but was off a bit.
$400 and $175 ones got home and were sick. Shot them up decent and both were doing great by sunday night. | |
