-North Mo | Put some calves on self feeder early April, at that time they were very green - had wintered them on not the best of fescue hay and 4-5lbs of 13% corn/distillers. Never fattened calves before???
However pink eye had taken its toll thus feared significant discounts - couple with horns I thought I was too busy to have gotten knocked off. Anyway these are slated for Oct. I wonder if I'll make it? Not sure what I am doing but hoping for the best, locked my corn at $3.29 (after the local adjustments, then they get .30 for processing/delivery-$3.59 in my feeders) naked on the calves?? I am amazed on how fast/ how much they have changed. - the Hereford is my daughters show heifer?? -Tested/Schu-lar heifer which I just stuck with A250 - stacking Tested genetics, hope it works.
