northern MN | I have a relative that has mid 70s wheat in a small jar, i asked him to do a germ test on it. Looking at it, it looks like the day it was put in the jar. While his mother has passed she saved this wheat when they moved from ND, apparently it was her way of taking a little of the farm to CA with her. "here" we are screwed! We need wheat as a rotation crop yet our cop has made us unprofitable at todays market prices.
I just dont know what our alternatives are but i have spent a lot of time thinking of my career choice as i watched the big boys come by with their $650,000.00 tillage operations this spring.
