Cambridge, southwestern Nebraska | We may have good crops AND good prices but not for everyone. Someone is going to have to suffer on their crops to have good prices. Can't have everyone have good crops and expect prices to be higher.
The latest forecasts I see is the possibility of the western corn belt or Great Plains may slip by with a decent summer but from the Missouri east could get a little dry. I am getting a little concerned about getting the wheat out but then if it is raining on the wheat, it is raining on the corn and beans so there would be a better crop there this fall. Hate to see a good crop of wheat go to waste though. Haven't harvested a good wheat crop since 2012 and we need every bushel to make up for the low wheat prices to even come close to making this work.
