West Texas

Happy Mothers day!

Very, very busy here. Last weeks windy days blew out a lot of fields that we've been trying to repair this week. Some of it held, some didn't. Had to put the lister in some yesterday day. It's never good when you have to use the lister or breaking plow to hold ground. But anyway, that's farming in west Texas.
That is the reason we haven't planted anything yet. This is the latest ever for us to not have any seed in the ground in the last 25 years. And optimum cotton planting time is the first 2 weeks in May. Peanuts depends on the kind you plant and this year we are planting Spanish so we are ok on them and will start tomorrow. You can plant them up into late June and still do ok with them.
Really surprised to see I lost a pound this week as I've not ate good and snacked way too much what with working lots of hrs.
Was down to 249 this morning.
