Depends on what browser you are using, All of them have a "home" page or something else to open up to. You can simply put "blank" in it. Lot of websites want to hijack your browser when it opens to go to their page first. Way back when some folks even thought you had to have a "home" page or else it would not work....

Search through your preferences or settings, somewhere there will be a place to edit it.
