S Illinois | Still not understanding why the Panama Canal wouldnt help the US(NOLA) just as much if not more than Brazil. NOLA is closer to the canal than any Brazil port. Even if all of the bean go north in Brazil(not likely due to Mato Grasso being halfway between Belem and Paranagua) the US still has a shipping distance advantage.
As to China exports, should we keep hammering that fact that the exports did catch up no matter how much we complaining last fall the bears did. Funny how fast your 50% behind caught up to 9% behind. Sure we are behind, but big difference being 10 MMT behind vs the 1MMT of new crop we are behind. I have listed NMY sales to China as of April 21st for the last 6 years. Want to guess which year final was highest and which one was lowest?
