Death comes to us all. Life's but a walking shadow
The rate at which the central Pacific surface temperatures are cooling is quite remarkable. Parts of Nino 3 are already well below the -.5 threshold. While it will take a few more weeks to get to official La Nina, La Nina conditions are spreading across the Pacific hundreds of miles per week.
I suspect that the market is currently partly trading the spring planting weather, South America's uncertainties and some La Nina threat. But even if North America gets planted the short crops in SA and the threat of La Nina weather in NA will support prices for a while. Those who in a hurry to short corn & beans will need to wait a good couple of months if they know what's good for them.
