Near-north Ontario, French River | I've got a turbine on a farm that I own. I get 2% of the revenue, at the end of the day I'm usually in the $14-18k range for the year. I have no idea what the wind companies contract is paying them so I have no idea how to convert that back to actual production . Talked to a company rep once, if I remember right he said they budgeted for the tower to be running at its rated generation power 30% of the time. I don't watch them too often but its pretty rare to see the turbine stopped, unless its down for maintenance. I'd guess its turning to some degree 95% of the time when I go by although sometimes its turning very slowly. |
