Yes....first discing I ever did was w/single disc. We had David Bradley discs....and a lot of other DB stuff. It was all mfg about 10 mis from here & sold thru Sears. Of course, there was no transport wheels on single disc. You just straightened the gangs out, folded the wings up (by hand) & pulled it down the road. Roads were dirt or gravel anyway. Worst thing about the single disks was the ridge in the middle. Here's our grandfather in about 1938 discing w/a DB disc. If you happen to own a Sears & Roebuck catalog from that time, you'll see this same picture in the DB machinery section. I believe the entire cost of this disk was listed as $25.
