ohio | I had onstar on a 2010 Silverado that never worked right. On my 2014 it works great, wouldn't be without it. Cell phones are not dependable and only work around towers. OnStar works off a satellite and can be used anywhere. It also calls the cops if your in an accident even if your not a subscriber. In an emergency just push the button and talk to an operator. I go to a lot of farm auctions and most auctioneers don't list direction very well. OnStar always gets me there. The only thing i don't like is sometimes it takes you the long way around. I usually can get pretty close to where i'm going then let onstar take over. A friend of mine had a heart attack, and ran off the road into a woods and no one could find him. The police contacted onstar and they told them where the truck was. The cops said they had already looked there. OnStar told them you better look again. That's exactly where they found the truck, it was hidden in some brush. | |
