Subject: RE: Terminating annual and cereal rye

NW IL, Mercer County
No personal experience with annual rye but from the many meetings I have attended, the experts say to spray roundup only on annual rye. Most other residuals and definitely fertilizer will antagonize the roundup resulting in inadequate control.

Cereal rye is a much easier animal. I spray my corn residual (lexar) with UAN and 44 oz roundup and get excellent kill. Spray bean residual (fierce xlt) with my roundup too and get along great.
