Morning Pat, are you going to plant your cover green or kill it and wait to plant. Only reason I ask , when we started this program , a neighbor killed chest high rye and waited a couple weeks and planted. Large spots died and had to b replanted. The rye in a certain stage evidently has an alleleopathic effect. Sorry for spelling. In seven years of rye planting , this is the worst problem we have experienced .Same guy does like you and spreads dap and potash on corn ground early and he gets s lot of growth . We wait on our p And k and chase the planter , same with spraying it down , plant it all green if possible.
