It will continue on the most logical straightest path. It won't try to make the hard turn. At least that was my experience making Headlands with SMS and the ends of the lines crossed at right angles. If you engage somewhere in between the lines at an angle, it will get lost. If you are pretty close to one or the other it will find the line you want.
