Feeding lambs is fun. Buying feeder lambs that will turn a profit, not fun. I don't see how anyone can buy feeders and pencil in a profit. Only way is to lamb them out. I do birth to finish here in about 5 months. They are on whole corn and pellets with free choice hay. I sell at that 140# area for best return. Buyers usually don't want any bigger. To me feeding lambs is simple as pie. They also get free choice salt and bicarb to keep everything in balance. Vet expense is nill. Good luck.
