Eastern Iowa | Same here, about an hour per 100 spaces with a 5 gallon per minute washer at 3000 psi. I've found 4 gallon a minute with 180 degree hot water is even faster. I soak everything for at least 24 hours before we start, which helps a lot. We also wash a second time after disinfecting, but that takes about a third of the time if the first wash was done with detail in mind.
I've looked into letting somebody come in and do it, especially my largest barn site that fills rather inconveniently every April and October when I would rather not lose a week out of the field, but have never gone ahead and done it. | |
