Purchased this mixer off the neighbor while back with the thought of having it at another farm and having a back up. Very sharp mixer and appears to be in great shape. Problem is the thing doesn't seem to mix right. On our gehls you can visibly see the corn flow down along the sides of the tank through the sight glass. The ih does not do that. The center auger appears to be good. We replaced the ears at the bottom of the center auger as they were wore off a couple of inches. Painted the tank with slickem paint. Seems the mill grinds really fine. We run the corn through with no screen and mix about a 4th ddg. Maybe the mix is just too fine and it is having a hard time circulating. First time to have an artsway style mill, not too impressed. Any ideas? I'm open to suggestions.
