We have a big place here that treats ties and sells to the railroad. I used to be able to buy seconds that were treated for brace posts. They would weigh about 200 pounds or more and were good posts. Now they wont sell treated posts anymore for putting in the ground because of the EPA. You can buy untreated but I don't do that.
